What is English Wine Week?

English Wine Week returns from 20th – 28th June 2026, celebrating the brilliant wines being produced right here in England.

Led by Wine GB, the nationwide campaign is all about discovering local vineyards, trying English wines, and enjoying the people, places, and stories behind every bottle.

There’s never been a more exciting time for English wine, with sparkling wines in particular gaining recognition around the world. More and more people are choosing to visit vineyards closer to home, turning a wine tasting or vineyard tour into a memorable day out. 

At Albury Vineyard, we’ll be celebrating with a series of special events, tastings, tours, and collaborations throughout the week, all set against the backdrop of the Surrey Hills in Summer.

English Wine Week Supper Club

Our English Wine Week Supper Club on Friday 26th June will be the highlight of the celebrations. This special evening at the vineyard will bring together seasonal food from Chef Renu B and Albury wines in a relaxed summer setting among the vines.

Guests can enjoy a carefully paired supper menu while celebrating English wine in the heart of the Surrey Hills.

Guided Vineyard Tours & Tastings

We’ll be hosting guided vineyard tours and tastings on Saturday 20th and Saturday 27th June. These experiences offer visitors the chance to walk through the vineyard, learn more about organic and biodynamic viticulture, and discover how English sparkling wine is produced at Albury.

It’s the perfect way to spend a Summer afternoon among the vines while enjoying some of our favourite wines.

English Wine & Cheese Tastings

On Sunday 21st and Sunday 28th June, we’ll also be hosting our wine and cheese tasting experiences, a chance to discover just how well English wine pairs with local cheese, while enjoying a relaxed afternoon in the vineyard tasting room.

English Wine Week Dinner at The Ivy Castle View

As part of the wider English Wine Week celebrations, we are also delighted to be collaborating with The Ivy Castle View in Guildford for a special dinner on Tuesday 23rd June.

The evening will pair Albury wines with a seasonal menu in the centre of Guildford, helping introduce even more people to the quality and character of English wine.

Supporting the 'Wine Walk'

During English Wine Week, we’re also proud to support the Vineyards of the Surrey Hills 'Wine Walk', a fundraising event celebrating the vineyards, landscapes, and hospitality of the Surrey Hills. The walk brings together local vineyards, scenic countryside trails, and favourite Surrey pubs, with participants stopping along the route to enjoy English sparkling wine along the way.

The event also raises vital funds for Guildford Philanthropy, supporting projects that make a meaningful difference across the local community.
