Picture This!

We’re proud to support Picture This!, a special plein air painting challenge organised by local cancer charity GUTS.

Taking place amongst the beautiful Autumn scenery surrounding Silent Pool and Albury Vineyard, the event invites artists to spend the day capturing this unique corner of the Surrey Hills. With the blue-green waters of Silent Pool, Sherbourne Pond, views across the vineyard and the surrounding hills in their Autumn colours, there will be plenty of inspiration to choose from.

Registration begins at 11am, with tea and a samosa kindly sponsored by Mandira’s Kitchen, before artists choose their spot and start painting. Participants should bring their own easel, paints and everything they need to work outdoors - and while it’s called a landscape painting challenge, there are no restrictions on the medium you choose to use.

Brushes, pencils and tools go down at 3pm, when the finished artworks will be brought to Albury Vineyard for judging and public viewing.

From 3pm–4pm, everyone is welcome to join us at the vineyard to see the finished works and cast their vote in the People’s Choice Award. No artistic qualifications required - just a good eye and a favourite!

There will also be a selection of judged prizes, generously provided by local businesses supporting the event.

Come along to enjoy the Autumn colours, celebrate local creativity and help raise funds for a brilliant Surrey charity. All proceeds support GUTS in its work to improve bowel cancer survival in Surrey and the surrounding area. Tickets: £25 per artist.
