Looking for a creative Christmas workshop in Surrey? Join us at Albury Vineyard in the beautiful Surrey Hills for a relaxing day of willow weaving, festive creativity and English sparkling wine.

Working with willow is a wonderfully mindful and rewarding activity. Guided by local willow weaver Lorraine, you'll learn traditional techniques and create your own beautiful Christmas decoration to take home.

Choose from a half-day workshop to make either a Willow Heart or Traditional Swedish Star, or spend the full day with us and enjoy both sessions.

No previous willow-weaving experience is needed and all materials are provided, so you can simply settle in, get creative and enjoy the experience.

Willow Weaving Workshops

Willow Heart
10:00–12:30

Create a beautiful woven willow heart - a natural decoration you can display at Christmas and enjoy throughout the year.

Traditional Swedish Star
13:30–16:00

Learn how to weave a traditional Swedish-inspired willow star, perfect for adding a rustic, handmade touch to your Christmas decorations.

Willow, Wine & Lunch

Each workshop includes a glass of Albury Estate sparkling wine, and all the materials you'll need will be ready for you on the day.

Guests booking a half-day workshop can also add a delicious English cheese and charcuterie lunch for £18 per person.

If you're joining us for the full-day experience, lunch is included in your ticket price.

A Festive Day Out in the Surrey Hills

Set amongst the vines of the Surrey Hills, Albury Vineyard makes a lovely setting for getting into the Christmas spirit. The workshops take place inside our heated vineyard tasting room, so you'll be warm and comfortable whatever the December weather brings.

Whether you're looking for a festive activity with friends, a creative day out or simply an opportunity to slow down during the busy Christmas season, our Willow & Wine Workshop is a wonderful way to spend a winter's day at the vineyard.

You'll leave with your finished willow decoration, new skills and, we hope, some lovely memories too.
