The Making of Albury Aged Negroni

Many of you will know that vineyard owner Nick loves a Negroni! The first step to creating his own cocktail started with the production of Albury Rosso Vermouth. This key component of the classic Negroni cocktail is made from the grape pressings after harvest each year and distilled for us by our neighbours at Silent Pool.

Keen to develop an all-British cocktail, we then created the Surrey Hills Negroni using rosso vermouth, Silent Pool Gin and Sipello - a bittersweet aperitif used in place of the traditional Campari. All three liquids are made right here in Surrey!

Following the success of our Surrey Hills Negroni during 'Negroni Week' last month, we're pleased to now launch the first barrel-aged version, pre-mixed to perfection following several tasting sessions at the distillery (a hard job!) 

Nick and distiller Jason filled the barrel a couple of months ago and it's finally ready to drink. We hope you enjoy it! Remember only 240 bottles have been made of this first batch, don't miss out...
